Data shows that crisis of homelessness is directly due to a systemic lack of affordable housing, rental protections, universal healthcare, and economic support systems, rather than personal factors and choices.
The solutions are just as clear. They include Housing First opportunities with wraparound services, comprehensive integrated healthcare including mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and advocacy with legislators to create upstream solutions and prevent homelessness.
